Slow Sunday..as usual I don’t know what to do on Sunday, other than browsing the net for something entertaining. Today I decided to browse ReviewMe just to find that there is an offer in the Marketplace for me. I like to browse their marketplace; you can find useful stuff and they even pay you to speak about it.
Today I’ve found SwitchPlanet.com who is sponsoring this review.
SwitchPlanet is a free community site where you can trade your old Video Games, Books or Cd/Dvd for a Dvd or whatever you’ll find on the site. They have 4 Categories right now: CDs, Dvds, Books and Video Games. The rules are simple: you put online your stuff and if someone want it, you ship him the item and you get back some “switchbucks” that you can later spend on someone else stuff. Easy. You can even refuse a switch if you don’t like the guy at the other side :-)
If you don’t have anything to switch, you can “buy” some switchbucks by paying with real money.
I have no idea how big the User Base is, but I can see from the Activity page that there are some users that did already more than 500 switches! You even see a lot of items on their Database which means that there a lot of people offering stuff.
This is a great network if you live in the US. I don’t think someone will accept to send you their “switch” abroad; shipping stuff is the only thing you have to pay, at least if someone want your stuff. :-)
Give an eye at their site if you live in the US and like the idea of switching your old books or cds.
