Richard suggested me to add a Widget with my best posts to help readers.
It seemed natural to me to copy him. :-) The truth is that I wanted to have more than a couple of posts there so I decided to have a scrollable list instead of a long list which could be boring to see for frequent readers (I’m probably used to Richard’s site for that). I googled for a solution and I found his own post about it here! I didn’t want to play with my template so I simply used a text widget where I put :
< div style="border: 0px none ; margin: -5px; overflow: auto; height: 200px;">
which is basically what Richard suggested but I put it only on the widget I wanted to be able to scroll with.
The list was created with my Google Analytics Top 10 Creator tool. I first create my Top50 articles and then I just removed the less good (but successful ones too) and I’ve transformed into a list instead of the simple table. Maybe I should add that option to the tool too.
Next things to do:
- change subtitle ( I have 2 suggestions for now)
- add Categories

I am in the process of putting together a new kind of sidebar widget. Bloggers on blogger are going to have trouble getting google to spider their archives now since blogger put in a robots.txt for everyone – directing the spider to their feed read. So I am making a little widget which will help the spider out. ;) Similar to your best posts widget, but more like a Snoskred Is widget and then linking to some of my archives. It may not be useful for the readers but I am sure the spiders will love it. I hope to have it up in a few days. ;)
