This is a sponsored post. Actually this is my first direct hire! How nice :-)
Mike just asked me to write about his Poker site, which is specialized on giving information about Poker on Mac. I don’t have a Mac myself, but I know lots of people who have it and I consider this kind of sites very useful.
If you look at software in general, you’ll see that most of the software is Windows only. A site like PokerOnMac is helping the community of developers to be aware that there are other Operating Systems and there are people who uses them.
The Poker he told me to take a look at is the PokerStars for Mac. PokerStars is one of the biggest Poker online game available with more than 100,000 players at a time playing poker. Right now I see 36,415 player. Mike is carefully checking PokerStars development and on that pages he states that the Mac version will probably be out in the following months. He then gives more information about PokerStars.
I am not a huge fan of playing with money, but I do understand that playing poker without using real money doesn’t feel the same. Anyway I do prefer playing poker with fake money. I’ll probably play worse because of that, but I don’t care. The few times I play poker, I’ll do it just to have fun with friends. Having said that I shouldn’t play poker online. But.. I think I’ll give a try to PokerStars. I like the fact that PokerOnMac is giving enough information to pick the right game. For example, I like PokerStars because it has free games. I will probably use it as a place to improve my playing skills.

If you are upset because I am posting about a gambling game I am sorry. I believe people are grown up enough to understand what Poker is and what is not. Most of the problems with online gambling is that … well, I have no idea. It could be because they thing that it’s just a way to lose a lot of money or because they believe there is some kind of trick to rip off money to the poor players. Maybe they don’t like it because it cause addiction and sometimes ruin gamers’ life.
I think that I (and my readers) am grown up enough to be able to control myself. I will probably never play with money but I don’t think that’s bad to play with money. You just have to control yourself and spend only what you can afford. I mean, there are persons who spend 100$ on drinks in a weekend and maybe they drive (that’s really dangerous), if you want to spend 20$ on online poker for a weekend you shouldn’t feel guilty.
Feel free to leave comments about that so we can discuss about it. Maybe you can change my opinion :-)

Thank you, I agree, it’s like otherwise saying, we can’t use knives as they may kill someone… It’s more important to teach values, as to what is too much and what is just plain fun…Poker is no different than playing monopoly…
I’m enjoying your site…wish I knew more, however, this too will come.
